The most common way of learning HTML still seems to be to learn it the old, non-standard hack way and then, if so inclined, to learn about web standards at a later date. But there's no reason not to teach standards compliant HTML and CSS from the bottom up without saying there's anything special about it - it's just the way it's done. You can post as many tutorials as you want to the website. The tutorials will have to go through a review before being posted on the site. It is a good idea to read through the terms of service before posting tutorials.

Scribd is a document sharing website. Many of these documents are made in html format. If you see anything interesting, it is always a good idea to download them so you can anaylyze them in a text editor.
